Falafel

The first time I had falafel was the summer that my friend, Hope, and I went to Israel to work on a Kibbutz. We ended up living in a hostel in Tel Aviv for two weeks, partying with fellow travelers on the roof overlooking the Mediterranean, and blowing almost all of our money before actually locating the Kibbutz placement office. A nice English lad, Dylan, took me on a walking tour of the city. Our first stop was falafel stand.

Warren went by the Mediterranean Market on Park Friday afternoon while making his grocery rounds and was inspired to make this feast:

Falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, cucumber salad, and even daal over rice.

Satchel tried a falafel, but was more interested in the rice hiding beneath the daal. Jiro alternately dipped pita bread and black olives in ketchup.
